Tumblr Pilipinas V-Day Meetup Year II : The Finale
You can see here the Part I and Part II.
Sadly, it has to end.
My throat is already in distress because of my non-stop shouting act for almost 5 hours. My limbs are already weak. The rest of my body is in pain. But every smile I see on all of the attendees’ face, all of those kemes are quickly fading.
So we asked all of them to settle down for a quick closing speech. Well not really speech but more of a closing message. Here are the few words I said to all of them:
- “Huwag kayong hahanap ng love life sa tumblr”
Well, it is just a piece of an advice. Not an order of course. LOL. Because I myself can break it. Chos. Haha.
- “Hindi ako mataray, galit lang talaga ako sa mga taong tanga”
People always think that I am scary. In a way, they though that I’ll bash them right away! Well, not really and I hope that I prove them wrong. Lt us just say, I do lack patience to those people who are sometimes or usually slow~
Then after these few words, I finally said my thanks to all of those who made this meetup possible, so here I go again. Thank you of course to the wonderful team of organizers! The Tumblr Pilipinas Directors and Administrators! Thank you to those who helped out even though they’re not officially part of it!
Thank you to all of those who cooperated with all of the activities since without you, this meetup sucks big time! Thank you to all of those who attended! Though I know that some of you we’re too shy to approach the pack of people, I hope you’d enjoyed watching us from afar~ lol~
Thank you to the sponsors: Trinoma, Garage Magazine and Solar Entertainment.
And here are some of my thoughts after the meetup:
- Lalong dumami yung pogi at magaganda
- It is not with the # people, people who are attending, how expensive it is or how many famous bloggers attended but it is in the technique that you should practice for quite some time in organizing meetups. In short, nasa pagkaka-organized din pala yung pinaka malaking factor. I am not saying it is mainly because of me because I have to admit that some of my meetups (which are approx. 6, not incuding this) is not as awesome as this.
- Other than being shy, pride is another barrier that stops people from knowing a lot of new friends.
- It was really tiring pala.
- There are a lot of new bloggers that I don’t really have any idea about their existence. Like, I’ve been here since 2007, I’ve been here before the tumblararity thingy started. So I guess I have to catch-up. :))
So if you noticed, I didn’t really mentioned any person in particular in this 3 part post. Because there’s a big tendency that I might forgot to include someone in here, so better not mention anyone anyway.
I got home around 1 o’clock in the morning since we finished our dinner + kwentuhan about what happened sa meetup around 11 o’clock. I was so dead tired, but I even had the energy and guts to talk to someone over the phone for like 2 hours and we talked again all about the meetup. He wasn’t able to come and I was teasing him all the time. :))
Well, I really really enjoyed this meetup. The crowd was really the best crowd of all! Until next time! March it is! Stand-by for announcements. But the March meetup keme should be smaller than this one! Hindi kaya ng powers ko ang magkakasunod na ganyan kalaki! :))
This has been hspy, at your service. Signing off. See you at the Year III! Let’s go for Tumblr Pilipinas 10,000 members!
